MARINA FOSSATI: A STORY OF WOMEN

MARINA FOSSATI was born from the will of the founder of the same name to continue the artisan tradition of her father, carpenter of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, in a field more suited to her: the jewel of fashion.
Following the trends of the time and with the introduction of futuristic materials, his creations of rings, Brooches, necklaces, bracelets, ranged from plastics to worked metals, using crystals, semi-precious stones, pearls, corals and ivories.
Moved by the ambition to make always new and original accessories, supported by an extraordinary technical skill, Marina began to collaborate with the most renowned Italian designers in the years of their debut.

Anna Tarabelloni arrived in Milan from the Emilian province in the second half of the 70s.
Inizia a lavorare con Marina come sua apprendista, e a vivere in una città che la mette in contatto con l’avanguardia culturale del Bar Jamaica a Brera e del Cenacolo Artistico di Bagutta.
Anna grows up quickly, in a few years she becomes a partner of Marina and in the following decade the two women collaborate in the creation of the collections and their distribution in the best stores in the country.
Alla fine degli anni ’80 Marina lascia ad Anna la MARINA FOSSATI.

Growing up in Anna's artistic Milan, with a degree in Political Science, Ilaria, Anna's daughter, started working with her mother in the first half of the 90s with a collection of bags to complement the fashion jewellery proposals already created together.
In the following years mother and daughter collaborated on the different collections and extended the distribution to foreign countries, always managing to maintain the artisan origin.
Over time, the workshop in Via Gesù 15 becomes a Milanese lounge, where the loyal customers of the Milanese well stop to chat over a coffee or a glass of prosecco, depending on the time of day.
After the premature death of Anna, wanting to make her dream come true, in 2018 Ilaria, who took over the reins of the company, opened the confines of the workshop on Via Gesù, creating the current showcase that maintains the original atmosphere inside.
